Weaving a Stronger Society – Starting in Our Schools

An interview with Weave’s leaders – David Brooks & Frederick Riley

Many of the problems in America have a common root – the tearing of our social fabric and the disintegration of our trust and care for each other. The Aspen Institute’s Weave Project started in 2018 to connect and support the people across the country who are showing up for their neighbors, inspiring trust and weaving an inclusive social fabric, so their communities can thrive.

This interview is part of the series “Weaving a Stronger Society – Starting in our Schools” celebrating educators who use community to help students succeed in school and life. The series was produced by education news site The 74 Million in partnership with the Aspen Institute’s Weave: The Social Fabric Project and support from The Walton Family Foundation.
